HARRISBURG, Penn.–PSECU has achieved Silver Level recognition in the Workplace Health Achievement Index compiled by the American Heart Association. The is the second consecutive year PSECU has been recognized for its efforts to build a culture of health in the workplace.
The credit union is one of 776 organizations that completed the Index assessment this year, evaluating the period from July 30, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
“At PSECU, we believe that by taking steps to ensure our more than 800 statewide employees are well cared for, ultimately, they will be better prepared to provide high-quality service to our valued members,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “We couldn’t be more pleased to have achieved this recognition from the American Heart Association, and we thank them for the resources and support that they provide to help make this accomplishment possible. We look forward to continuing our efforts, in collaboration with the American Heart Association, to sustain and improve employee well-being into the future.”
The American Heart Association, a global force for longercreated the Index with its CEO Roundtable, a leadership collaborative of more than 45 members from some of America’s largest companies who are committed to applying evidence-based approaches to improve their employees’ overall health.
The Index is a web-based scorecard that looks at organizational best practices and aggregates employee health data to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs.
Studies show that worksites with a culture of health with comprehensive, evidence-based policies and programs, and senior leadership support are more likely to have engaged employees and a healthier, more productive workforce, PSECU said.
