HARRISBURG, Penn.–The Pennsylvania CU Association’s consumer outreach program, iBelong, has been honored by the Pennsylvania Society for Association Executives (PaSAE) at the Laurel Awards. Each year, the program recognizes association achievements in programs, events, projects, and beyond.
The Association's iBelong campaign won the award for Member Advocacy in Largest Associations ($1 Million+) category.
“When I was with a credit union, I was on the initial steering committee and seeing the growth of the campaign over the last decade has been incredibly rewarding,” said Carol Fastrich Aranos, Association AVP of marketing & communications, about accepting the award. “I was proud to represent the Association, but even prouder to be representing Pennsylvania’s credit unions for enduring commitment to the campaign and furthering the credit union message.”
“We are honored to receive this award and are very proud of our iBelong program, the longest running credit union awareness program in the country,” said Patrick Conway, president & CEO of the Association. “While we received the award, it is Pennsylvania’s credit unions that have made the program so successful with their strong support over the years.”
Notably this year, the iBelong campaign is sponsoring NBC's hit show, The Voice, in several key markets throughout the state. Recently, a commercial spot from the campaign was released in the Philadelphia market. The iBelong campaign is also sponsoring contests, like the Primetime Giveaway Contest on WPXI in Pittsburgh.
