CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Credit Union has promoted Credit Analyst Kim Carson and Business Specialist Robyn Shepro to the positions of Commercial Loan Officers. Both will be located at the credit union’s main branch at 1980 NW 9th Street in Corvallis.
Shepro has been with the credit union for a total of 10 years over two terms dating back to 1996. She moved into member business services in 2012. The Oregon State University graduate is originally from Philomath. She has volunteered for Celebrate Corvallis, The Corvallis Clinic’s Puttin’ on the Pink, and the Boy Scouts of America.
Shepro said, “Providing financial solutions for the businesses in the communities we serve is important to our team. We not only provide excellent lending options to help businesses start and grow but we also take pride in becoming our business member’s full service financial services team.”
Carson, the former Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager with Bank of the Cascades, joined the credit union’s business services department in 2014. She has 12 years of lending experience mainly with Bank of the Cascades in Boise, Idaho after receiving her undergraduate degree at Boise State University. The Corvallis resident volunteered for the United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior League of Boise, Young Professionals and work with local chambers during her years in Idaho. Her 2014 move to Corvallis was actually a return to the area as Carson grew up here and graduated from Crescent Valley High School.
“I am excited to be back in the Corvallis area working for such a reputable institution with an exceptional team of people. I look forward to reintegrating into the community and connecting with local business owners in the areas we serve, which is a true passion of mine,” said Carson.
“We knew when we were able to add Robyn and Kim to our team in recent years that their expertise and personality would be great additions to our member business lending outreach locally,” said Dan Ripplinger, Oregon State Credit Union Director of Business Services. “In my eight years, we’ve increased business membership to more than 4,000 and our commercial lending now exceeds $100 million. Robyn and Kim will continue their outstanding contributions to our continued efforts to provide small business solutions in Oregon.”
