Oregon State CU Helps Recycle 86 Computer Stations to Groups

CORVALLIS, Ore.–Oregon State Credit Union reported it has recycled and distributed 86 computer stations to schools and non-profit organizations throughout the credit union’s field of membership over the past six months.

Among the destinations for the computer donations were the Santiam Boys and Girls Club teen center in Lebanon, the Philomath School District, Mighty Oaks Children’s Therapy Center in Albany, Mid Valley Christian School in Independence, and Western Mennonite School in West Salem.

“The computer lab is without question one of the most utilized room in our facilities,” said Kris Latimer of the Santiam Boys and Girls Club. “We're excited to add the PC's to the tech lab and expand that program. Keeping it equipped with the generous support of Oregon State Credit Union is vital to making our program as successful as it is!”

Oregon State Credit Union President and CEO Richard Hein added, “The opportunity to meet the technological needs of so many worthwhile schools and non-profits in our field of membership through the recycling of our computer inventory is extremely rewarding.”
