Okimoto Named President of Hawaii Society of CPAs

HONOLULU–Norman Okimoto, CPA, President of Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union (HTFCU), was elected President of the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants (HSCPA) for fiscal year 2016/2017. Okimoto has been with the HSCPA for the past 33 years, served as President for fiscal year 2002/2003, a Member of the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Member Benefits Committee and Members in Industry Committee. The HSCPA has over 1500 members in public practice, business & industry, education and government. He has also been involved with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), serving as a member of the AICPA Council.

Okimoto was named Executive Vice President for HTFCU in 1990 and was promoted to President in 1994. HTFCU is a community credit union serving the residents of the island of Oahu and has assets over $580 million with over 55,000 members.
