ROCKY HILL, Conn.–Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union has opened its latest location. Located Inside the ShopRite on Bull Hill Lane in Orange, it is the first branch for the credit union in the New Haven County area.
Much like Nutmeg’s other latest branch that opened in January 2017, the Orange location will be a full-service branch and ATM with a technology focus, educating members on the ease of use for our e-services. With online e-Banking, members can do many of the same transactions they would at a traditional branch, but from the use of their home computer, or app-enabled device. The friendly, knowledgeable staff are available to assist members in their everyday transactions and technology education, the credit union said.
In 2015, Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union became a state chartered organization opening its membership base to those who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in Hartford, Middlesex, Tolland and New Haven Counties. As of Dec. 31, 2016, their membership expanded further to include the towns of Stratford, Bridgeport and Shelton with the acquisition of Housatonic Teachers Financial Credit Union. Members in this Southern Connecticut region can now visit locations in Orange and Stratford (Upper Fairfield County).
“We are pleased to announce that we have a physical full service location for our members in this area. Expanding our membership to the lower regions of Connecticut was great, and giving them a place to visit and interact with staff really brings a better experience to those we serve,” says John Holt, President and CEO of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union.
