NuVision Participates In CHOC Walk; Raises $65,000

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Having recently participated in the CHOC Walk in the Park event at Disneyland Resort for the fifth consecutive year, NuVision Federal Credit Union announced it has donated and raised a total of over $65,000 for the local children’s hospital since 2010.

Employees raised more than $5,500 in the CHOC Walk this year, bringing the total amount donated to support Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) through this annual event to over $25,000 since 2010.

NuVision also supports CHOC through its designated donations to the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Earlier this year, NuVision made an additional $15,000 donation to the organization, bringing the total donated to CHOC through CMN to over $40,000 since 2011.

“CHOC Walk is an amazing community event for an even more amazing cause that has become an annual tradition for the employees at NuVision,” said Attila Morgan, Manager of Community Involvement and Business Development at NuVision Federal Credit Union. “We are so proud of our employees who volunteer every year to participate and raise much-needed funds for the hospital.  When combined with NuVision’s donations through the Children’s Miracle Network – we’ve donated and raised an incredible $65,000 for CHOC hospital since 2010.”

The CHOC Walk stands alone as the largest and most unique single pediatric fundraising event in the country. Since its inception in 1990, the CHOC Walk in the Park has raised over $24 million, with funds supporting education, research, and adoption and utilization of the latest technologies to advance the health and well-being of children.
