CHICAGO – NuMark Credit Union recently celebrated the official ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly-relocated branch in Bridgeport.
The new location is at 3040 S Halsted St. in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago.
While the branch has been open to the public since May 20, NuMark wanted to celebrate with an event held at the branch, complete with food catered from a local restaurant and new neighbor, Belly Bowl, and free goodies for attendees to take home. Among the attendees were various NuMark Board Members and employees, members of the team who helped get the new location ready for the public, as well as representatives from the Illinois Credit Union League and the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, who helped in putting the event together.
"Standing here today, I feel a deep sense of pride – not just in this beautiful new branch, but in the incredible people and purpose behind it,” said Sonia Garay, NuMark Regional Branch Manager, who spoke at the Ribbon Cutting. “This grand opening is more than a milestone. It’s a moment that reflects months of hard work, collaboration, and belief in something bigger than ourselves. And I want to start by saying thank you to each and every one of you who helped bring this vision to life.”
Although only a few minutes away from the former location, this new branch is modernized, airy, and in a more convenient area of the neighborhood, to help increase the credit union’s reach within the communities of Bridgeport, Bronzeville, Chinatown, and Back of the Yards. NuMark has proudly been part of the Bridgeport community since 2012, and the staff has enjoyed getting to know the members of the branch and helping them with their financial needs. They’re looking forward to meeting even more community members and helping them reach their full financial potential.
