Northwest FCU Partners with Project Giveback

HERNDON, Va.–Northwest FCU marked its 70th anniversary by partnering with Northern Virginia Project GiveBack to provide Thanksgiving meals to 500 local families.

The credit union donated $5,250, providing 70 meals in honor of their 70 years. Northwest Federal employees came together with members of the community to assemble and deliver meals in time for the holiday.

“We are so honored to partner with Northwest Federal Credit Union,” said Northern Virginia Project GiveBack’s Kia Davis. “On behalf of the entire Northern Virginia Project GiveBack team, we say ‘thank you’.”

Northwest Federal’s culture of service inspired an all-year giving initiative to celebrate the Credit Union’s 70th Anniversary. The 70 Acts of We, which included the partnership with Project GiveBack, honored the Credit Union’s commitment to philanthropy.

“Our anniversary comes during a time of the year where we are reminded of all we have to be thankful for and the many ways we can share our blessings with the community,” said Northwest Federal’s President and CEO, Jeff Bentley. “Partnering with Project GiveBack was a meaningful and rewarding way to celebrate a milestone anniversary in Northwest Federal’s journey.”
