HERNDON, Va.–Northwest FCU has begun offering instant-issue credit cards at all of its branches. Members in need of a replacement card, or new card applicants, can receive their contactless, ready-to-use cards in person, in minutes, the credit union said.
“We are proud to provide our members with a product that stands out as fast to market and provides them with even more convenience,” said Northwest Federal’s president and CEO, Jeff Bentley. “Even if a member experiences fraud on their card they no longer need to wait for their new card in the mail. They can get a replacement same day as quickly and painlessly as possible.”
NWFCU said the new service is the latest step in its member experience initiative aimed at combining their best-in-class member service with technological innovations. Instant issue pairs with the credit union’s variety of credit card options, including their NOW Rewards card, which earns 1.25x the points per $1 in purchases that can be used for travel, cash back and more. The credit union is currently running a balance transfer promotion for 0% APR for six months.
