HERNDON, Va.– Northwest FCU welcomed members to its annual Member Appreciation Day as part of its year-long “70 Years of We” celebration. Despite the rainy weather, over 400 members attended, enjoying free food, carnival games, and more. Face painters, balloon artists and caricature artists treated members to personalized souvenirs. A miniature train and a visit from Westie, the kids club accounts' mascot, made the day fun for members of all ages.
Several of Northwest Federal’s Community Partners were on hand, including Arts Herndon, Friends of Runnymeade Park, and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy. Members could also learn more about Northwest Capital Management (Northwest Federal’s wholly-owned investment and insurance subsidiary), the NWFCU Foundation (the Credit Union’s philanthropic arm), career opportunities available at the Credit Union and more. Special promotions included reduced rate auto loans and a high-yield Celebration Certificate in honor of the Credit Union’s 70th anniversary.
“Member Appreciation Day events are our way of thanking our members who are the reason Northwest Federal exists as a thriving organization,” said Acting President and CEO Jeff Bentley. “This event is a great opportunity to open our doors to the community, our members, our employees and their families to build upon the relationships we have had for 70 years.”
