HERNDON, Va. – Northwest Federal Credit Union has added a new organization to its Community Partners program – the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy. Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy is a local, all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and proliferation of healthy wildlife habitats throughout Loudoun County, Virginia.
NFCU said its Community Partner program extends its mission even further by supporting area groups that strengthen and improve life for local residents. It also enables Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy members to join the credit union, and benefit from the many products and services offered by Northwest Federal.
Loudoun Wildlife offers field trips and speaker programs, amphibian monitoring, bird and butterfly counts, stream monitoring, habitat restoration programs, conservation advocacy, and educational opportunities for families and children.
“Loudoun Wildlife is a natural fit for our program because they share our commitment for giving back and they make a positive impact on the community through their programs and publications,” said Chris McDonald, President/CEO of Northwest Federal. “At Northwest Federal, we are dedicated to educating our members about the tools they need to be financially strong. Loudon Wildlife are also innovative educators for the important efforts of wildlife conservation, and their programs benefit the community in more ways than people realize.”
