VANCOUVER, Wash.‐ Columbia Credit Union has promoted Art Newby to Executive Vice President/Chief Information Officer. Newby will lead and have overall responsibility for information technology, projects and automation initiatives that advance the strategic mission of the credit union.
Newby will also be responsible for the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems and Business Continuity, and will work with the CEO and COO to provide oversight over all credit union departments and have specific responsibility for the General Services, Ecommerce, Retail Support, and Project Management Office departments.

Newby, who previously served as Columbia Credit Union’s Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer, has 36 years of industry experience and has held a variety of IT management roles throughout his career. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the Marine Corps Officer School and is a Cisco Certified Network Associate. He also holds IT systems engineer certifications from Microsoft and Novell.
