TAMPA--GTE Financial Credit Union said it has reaffirmed its “unwavering commitment” to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and its support for Pride initiatives throughout the entire year.

GTE Financial reported it successfully raised $6,200.14 for Metro Inclusive Health this year alone, contributing to $23,597 donated in the last three years. These funds bolster the health organization's efforts to provide inclusive health and wellness services, further supporting the credit union's mission.

In 2023, GTE Financial generously contributed over $578,000 to numerous organizations, highlighting its role as not just a financial institution but a vital community partner dedicated to fostering positive change,” the credit union said.

"As a community development financial institution, GTE has proudly put over $5 million in awarded funds to work, expanding economic opportunities for underserved communities, focusing on the various demographics in the Tampa Bay community," said President and CEO Brian Best. "The credit union is committed to equal employment opportunities, we believe that diversity and inclusion among our teams are critical to our success as a company, and seek to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool."
