New Horizons CU Staff Raise Funds For Ronald McDonald House

MOBILE, Ala. —  New Horizons Credit Union’s employees presented a check for $1,344.00 and thousands of pop tops representing fund raising efforts to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile and Pensacola.

New Horizons Credit Union staff raised funds through special credit union-wide, jeans days. Ronald McDonald House was chosen based on the results of an annual internal survey.  New Horizons Credit Union employees voted on the Corporate Charities they wanted to support.  For 2017, Ronald McDonald House was selected as one of the Corporate Charities.  Because New Horizons Credit Union operates in both the Mobile and Pensacola areas, the funds raised were divided between the two Ronald McDonald House areas, the CU said.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.  The ultimate vision of the organization is see a world where all children have access to medical care, and their families are supported and actively involved in their children's care.

“I am proud with how our employees join together – especially, to help organizations like the Ronald McDonald House continue to provide to shelter and resources for families with sick children,” said New Horizons Credit Union interim President/CEO, Edith Franklin.
