MOBILE, Ala.–New Horizons Credit Union has been honored with a token of appreciation from the University of South Alabama Athletic Department for the credit union’s commitment to the athletic and academic endowment programs.
“We are proud to support the University’s athletic department as well as an annual endowed tuition scholarship,” said Lisa Corvo, president/CEO of New Horizons Credit Union. “We believe in the importance of education for our youth because they are our future.”
The New Horizons Credit Union Athletic-Academic Endowment Fund will help support the reconstruction and relocation of the athletic academic All-American wall that honors South Alabama student-athletes who receive national academic recognition. In addition, the endowment will help support the fall and spring student-athlete graduation ceremonies held in the Athletic Academic Center on the South Alabama Campus.
The New Horizons Credit Union Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment Fund will fund an annual endowed tuition scholarship for a student accepted into the Mitchell College of Business and who also resides in Mobile, Baldwin, Monroe, Clarke, Washington, Escambia counties, Alabama or Santa Rosa, Okaloosa counties, Florida.
