MOBILE, Ala. —New Horizons Credit Union’s employees presented a check for $3,500 representing fund raising efforts to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Giving back to the community is important for New Horizons Credit Union with offices throughout south east Alabama, the credit union said. New Horizons Credit Union raised the majority of the funds through a loan campaign whereby every loan closed during the month of October would generate $10 to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Additional funds were raised via branch member and staff contributions. This year’s the Mobile Making Strides Walk was canceled due to extreme bad weather conditions. These additional funds collected helped with the overall fund raising endeavors of the organization.
“I am proud with how our employees and members joined together to help Making Strides Against Breast Cancer continue to do the good work they provide,” said New Horizons Credit Union President/CEO Edith Franklin.
