MOBILE, Ala.–Over the last month New Horizons Credit Union branches collected items to ship to U.S. Troops in Kuwait to show support and offer a thanks for all they are doing to preserve our freedom. New Horizons Credit Union’s branches collected more than four full boxes of snacks, supplies, and personal hygiene items.
As a community, state-chartered credit union, New Horizons Credit Union said it believes in giving back through its Horizons Helping Hands community efforts that encourages staff to work as a team to support worthwhile causes. Many of its members serve as active First Responders and Military personnel and for this reason, New Horizons Credit Union has also established a Horizons Heroes Account that offers perks such as discounts on loans and increases in certificate accounts.
“We should remember and honor members serving our country abroad and let them know we appreciate everything they do. This shipment of collected items from our staff and member is a way of expressing our gratitude,” said New Horizons Credit Union interim president/CEO, Edith Franklin.
