CONCORD, N.H.–New Hampshire Federal Credit Union is now offering services for those who may need assistance with energy expenses.
Programs available include low rate loans to upgrade home heating/cooling systems or appliances for energy efficiency, along with loans to relieve unanticipated expenses related to home heating or utility bills.
The credit union noted that according to Energy Saver, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) consumer resource on saving energy and using renewable energy technologies at home, a typical American family spends nearly $2,000 per year on their home energy bills. Much of that money, however, is wasted through leaky windows or ducts, old appliances, or inefficient heating and cooling systems.
