WILLISTON, Vt.– New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) hosted a free, open-to-the-public Shred Fest events at its main branch here to help people protect themselves against identity theft by destroying documents containing sensitive financial information.
In this year’s Spring Shred Fest on Saturday, May 5, more than 35,000 pounds—over 17 tons—of documents were destroyed.
