ST. LOUIS–Neighbors Credit Union said it embraced the “People Helping People” philosophy by fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN) during International Credit Union Month.
Through the efforts of employees and members, Neighbors Credit Union raised $2,353 in October.
Throughout October, Neighbors Credit Union employees sold paper balloons for at least a $1 donation. Employees could also dress down in their jeans on International Credit Union Day, October 20th, for a small donation to CMN. However, the credit union said the highlight of the month was the annual Bake Sale also held on International Credit Union Day. All eight Neighbors Credit Union branches provided homemade and store bought cookies, brownies, candy, breads and other tasty treats for a $1 donation. One hundred percent of all the money raised will go to CMN of Greater St. Louis.
Year to date, Neighbors Credit Union employees and members have raised a total of $8,530.47 for CMN in 2016.
