Neighbors CU Raises Funds for CMN

ST. LOUIS–Neighbors Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Week with fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN). Through the efforts of employees and members, Neighbors Credit Union raised $1,586 in October.

Throughout October, Neighbors Credit Union employees raised $642 for CMN by selling paper baseballs for at least a $1 donation. Employees could also dress down in their jeans and a Neighbors shirt on Fridays for a small donation to CMN, which raised over $300. However the highlight of the month was its annual Bake Sale held on International Credit Union Day. All eight Neighbors Credit Union branches had homemade and store bought cookies, brownies, candy, breads and other tasty treats available for sale to the public for a $1 donation. The bake sale resulted in raising $635. One hundred percent of all the money raised will go to Children Miracle Network Hospitals of Greater St. Louis.

“Neighbors Credit Union has been a proud supporter of CMN for many years,” stated Becky Buehl, Vice President of Marketing. “Each year our staff strives to raise even more for this wonderful cause.”

Year to date, Neighbors Credit Union employees and members have raised a grand total of $8,449.13 for CMN in 2015.
