SOMERVILLE, Mass.–Naveo Credit Union collected nearly 100 books during of April as part of its Children’s Book Drive.
Each year, Naveo Credit Union participates in the statewide book drive spearheaded by the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) to benefit the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.
Once again, the CCUA and the Coalition distributed collected books to children who benefit from their A Bed for Every Child program, which provides a bed, mattress and warm bedding items for children within our community who do not have a proper place to sleep at night.
Naveo said it got the word out about their collection via press releases, social media and email blasts, and that it has exceeded its goal for several consecutive years and increased their level of participation based on the previous year’s collection.
Over the past ten+ years, Naveo has collected more than 2,000 books.
