SOMERVILLE, Mass.–Naveo Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee has awarded three scholarships of $1,000 each to local students during their Annual Meeting. Scholarship recipients for the 2018-2019 school year were John Da Silva of Somerville, Victoria Raschi of Medford and Charles Casey Rideout of Cambridge. Scholarship recipients are anonymously selected based on financial need, scholastic merit as well as community and school involvement.
“At Naveo Credit Union, we strongly believe that education is a very important step in creating a solid foundation in a person’s successful future. We proudly present the Carlos Faria & Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship awards to further assist our members in building that foundation for success,” said Paul Ferreira, Scholarship Committee chair. “We would like to congratulate the recipients of this year’s scholarships and we would like to thank all of the applicants for participating.
