HERNDON, Va.–– The NWFCU Foundation, the charitable arm of Northwest Federal Credit Union, was honored during the Washington Business Journal 2016 Corporate Philanthropy Awards as 13th on the business journal’s list of Largest Corporate Philanthropists – Midsize Companies ranked by giving.
The Foundation’s Executive Director, Alexzandra Shade, accepted the award a week before the Foundation participated in the international #GivingTuesday event, celebrating the spirit of giving back.
“Winning the Washington Business Journal Award is a testament to the NWFCU Foundation’s commitment to improving the Northern Virginia community through charitable giving and youth outreach programs,” said Shade. “It made #GivingTuesday even more special to know that we were embodying the spirit that won us the honor.”
