SCRANTON, Penn.–NET Credit Union donated $25,000 to Meals on Wheels of NEPA to help support during the coronavirus crisis. Meals on Wheels will use these funds to support their essential food service program during this time.
During the coronavirus crisis, Meals on Wheels of NEPA said it is more committed than ever to its mission of providing essential food and services, which they deliver to elderly and homebound clients, preparing approximately 1,000 meals each day. Volunteers and staff provide an extremely important safety check for all clients receiving meals. They even assist in helping feed their clients’ pets.
NET Credit Union said it takes pride in helping other local community organizations such as Meals on Wheels of NEPA.
