NEW YORK CITY -- Municipal Credit Union said its holiday charitable initiatives were a great success. Through the collective efforts of its employees and members, MCU collected more than 510 pounds of food and 100 toys for donation to City Harvest and Toys for Tots for their efforts to support the in-need communities throughout New York City.
An additional $1,500 was also raised to help support City Harvest's mission of aiding individuals at risk of food insecurity. These efforts were part of MCU's Season of Giving Back, which ran from November 10, 2014 to January 16, 2015, and are part of the credit union's ongoing efforts to give back to the communities in which its members work and live.
