Mission Fed Partners With Big Brothers Big Sisters

SAN DIEGO–Mission Fed Credit Union said that as part of its commitment to community it is sponsoring Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County, sending 40 pairs of “Bigs and Littles” to experience an unforgettable day at the ballpark with the San Diego Padres.

The sponsorship is another layer of the previously announced multi-year partnership between Mission Fed and the Padres through the 2023 season, MFCU said.

“On behalf of our Bigs and Littles, Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County would like to express its heartfelt gratitude for the generous support from Mission Fed for providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our matches to attend a Padres game in style,” said Tina Rose, CEO/president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County. “For some matches, this will be their first time to an MLB game and for others, baseball is their passion, but all 40 pairs are sure to create a memory that will not be forgotten. In our 60th year of service to the San Diego community, we are honored to partner with Mission Fed to build brighter futures for our county’s next generation.”

For the first 10 pairs, Mission Fed was introduced to “Big and Little” matches like Everett and Scott, and Bruce and Kevin, who were attending their first Padres games together. Matches like Justin and Josiah, and Lizbeth and Alexa love sports, being outdoors, and going to Padres games - even if they hadn’t been to a game for a while, the credit union said.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters is a terrific organization and we love being able to play a small role in the transformative mentorships between our local Bigs and Littles,” said Debra Schwartz, president & CEO of Mission Fed.
