ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Michigan Business Connection (MBC) has hired two new employees, Saptarshi Chakraborty and Shanell Marshall.
Chakraborty joined MBC in 2020, as a financial analyst. In his role as a financial analyst, Saptarshi will analyze credit and financial data, and prepare data for credit analysts and portfolio managers. Saptarshi’s previous experience includes creating a business model thesis that was used to expand business operations and increase ROI for a restaurant, investment banking analysis for an auto parts manufacturer, as well as he helped facilitate branding and forming partnerships for a beverage company. Saptarshi graduated from the University of Michigan in the spring of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
Marshall joined MBC in 2020, as a portfolio manager. Her primary responsibilities will be to monitor borrower’s performance to loan terms, financial analysis, and performing annual reviews. Prior to joining MBC, she worked for Comerica Bank for 9 years, starting as a credit specialist in the Small Business Lending group. Eventually, she was promoted to a senior commercial underwriter, where she gained experience in credit policy and underwriting loans. She received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University and master’s degree in human resource management from Marygrove College.
