ROANOKE, Va.–Member One FCU recently donated $1,000 to Beans and Rice, Inc. to support its mission to improve the well-being of low- to moderate-income families in the New River Valley.
The donation was a result of Member One’s quarterly Denim Days for Charities where employees donate money in exchange for wearing jeans on a specific day.
“Member One employees are always willing to generously support critical organizations in their communities,” said Andrea Milliron, Vice President, Market Relationship Manager with Member One. “It’s a true testament to the credit union difference and our philosophy to put people before profits.”
Beans and Rice, Inc. empowers families through hunger relief, after-school programs that improve educational opportunities for at-risk children, and job creation for those who are underemployed.
