CARSON CITY, Nev.--Maureen McGrew, a 35-year expert in accounting and finance, recently joined Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) as its new Vice President of Finance.
In her role, McGrew oversees GNCU’s Accounting, Member Accounting, and Finance and Treasury teams, the CU said.
McGrew joins GNCU with nearly 14 years of banking experience, moving from senior staff accountant to accounting manager to director of finance and accounting. During that time, she led various teams that oversaw functions including financial reporting, asset/liability management, treasury functions, financial analysis and forecasting, as well as EFT and Secondary Markets.
Prior to her work in the banking industry, McGrew worked with a consulting company focused on helping small businesses improve internal controls and processes. She also served as a controller and vice president overseeing finances, back-office operations and employee relations in the travel industry.
