Marine FCU Makes Donations to 2 Organizations

JACKSONVILLE, N.C.– Marine FCU presented checks in the amount of $36,000 each to the two top rated organizations in America that directly care for service members and their families.

According to Retired Major General, USMC, and Marine FCU Executive Vice President Robert Dickerson, “The funds donated to the Jacksonville USO help keep the oldest operating USO in the United States operating, which is heavily utilized by Marines, Sailors and their associated families while stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. New Marines going through infantry training at Camp Geiger and  Military Occupational Schools at Camp Johnson and Marine Corps Air Station New River have very little free time available and the ability to relax at the Jacksonville USO and get a home cooked meal goes a long way.

Hope For The Warriors was founded aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in 2006 and for the past 11 years, this organization has been dedicated to serving those who have served. Hope For The Warriors provide a full cycle of care to restore self, family, and hope to post-9/11 wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen.”
