LAKE FOREST, Ill.--Mac McCaleb has joined the private economic research firm Moebs $ervices, LLC (M$) as Chief Strategy Officer.
Mac brings over 25 years of experience as a financial services’ executive leader at several high performing banks and credit unions.
“We are blessed to have Mac with us,” said Michael Moebs M$ chair. “Mac was with some of the first financial institutions (FIs) to employ our patented AI Risk service and these FI’s made millions.”
Mac McCaleb was born in the Detroit, MI area and is an avid Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings fan. He has BA & MS degrees in Finance. Mac and his wife now live in Arizona and have two grown daughters and a new grandson. His wife is a very active real estate agent in Phoenix.
“Mac has the classical Midwest work ethic. He is highly regarded in the industry as an innovator, and we are excited for him to join the M$ team. Having known Mac for years as a client, he understands the M$ culture and is extremely knowledgeable in our services,” said JV Proesel, M$ president.
A decorated U.S. Army veteran, Mac began his financial services career in commercial lending with a large bank. From there he was as an examiner with the NCUA and then transitioned into leadership with a small Detroit credit union. Mac quickly advanced into Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer positions with billion-dollar financial institutions. He has worked in the Midwest, Mountain, and Pacific regions of the United States.
Mac’s international exposure working for a large depository on the Southern border makes him well-suited to serve M$ clients outside the USA in Canada, Europe, Africa, and Australia, Moebs said.
“With a proven track record for conceptualizing and executing complex business strategies, Mac continually achieved top 3% performance metrics industrywide,” said Proesel. “We look forward to Mac assisting all M$ clients achieve the same results.”
