EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSUFCU has received the National Best and Brightest in Wellness award, which honors organizations that make their workplaces, their employees, and the community a healthier place to live and work.
The award recognizes and celebrates quality and excellence in health awareness by highlighting companies, schools, faith-based groups, and other organizations that promote a culture of wellness, the credit union said.
“Our employees’ wellbeing is a top priority for MSU Federal Credit Union,” said Silvia Dimma, MSUFCU’s chief human resources officer. “Empowering our employees to improve their health and overall wellbeing is a goal that the Credit Union’s CU Healthy Committee is fully committed to.
“Receiving national recognition for this work is a great honor,” Dimma continued. “As an organization, we encourage our employees to improve their health and wellbeing through a variety of activities and events. Many of the activities involve teambuilding practices which lead to a more positive work culture for our employees. As an example, employees can choose to participate in voluntary fitness challenges, financial wellness education classes, or the many 5K runs/walks the credit union sponsors to support local charities.”
