MSUFCU Again Voted a Great Place to Work

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State University Federal Credit Union has announced that it is again Great Place to Work-certified for the sixth consecutive year. Using validated employee feedback gathered with Great Place to Work’s data-driven methodology, certification confirms seven out of 10 employees have a consistently positive experience at MSUFCU, the credit union reported. 

“We are thrilled to earn this recognition,” said Silvia Dimma, chief human resources officer. “We make employee experience a priority every day and are delighted our employees have a positive experience with their co-workers, managers and jobs. This is important to us because when our employees have a positive work experience, they provide superior service to our members.” 

Great Place to Work is a global people analytics and consulting firm that helps companies of all sizes produce better business results by focusing on the work experience for every employee— research shows there is a direct relationship between employee engagement and financial performance. Through the certification programs, the organization recognizes outstanding workplaces and produces Fortune’s annual list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, as well as other best workplace rankings in the United States and in more than 60 countries.

MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. The credit union was named in the top five Michigan credit unions by Forbes Best-in-State Credit Unions, Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance by Fortune Magazine, received the ATHENA Award for Organizational Leadership, and for the fifth year, was named West Michigan Best and Brightest to Work For. MSUFCU has been certified as a Great Place to Work for six consecutive years, and was named as a Top Workplace in the large employer category by the Detroit Free Press for six consecutive years. 

The credit union has also been recognized for its financial education initiatives, ranking first for the Alphonse Desjardins Adult and Youth Financial Education Awards, and the Louise Herring Award as well as an honorable mention for the Dora Maxwell Award by the Michigan Credit Union League.

The $4.5 billion MSUFCU has more than 900 employees.
