RANDALLSTOWN, Md.– MECU held its grand opening for its newest branch here. The CU opened 48 accounts on the first day at its tenth location.
MECU held a ribbon cutting ceremony with staff members, Baltimore County Councilman Julian Jones, Jr., State House Speaker Adrienne Jones, Delegate Benjamin Brooks, and Senior Outreach Coordinator Mary Clay with Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski’s Office of Community Engagement.
Following the ribbon cutting, a community celebration event was held that featured performances by Singing Sensations Youth Choir, a non-profit organization for students ages 5-18 in the Baltimore Metro Area. The event also included food, games, prizes, and a kids’ zone.
MECU also announced a $1,000 donation to Singing Sensations Youth Choir and a $5,000 donation to the Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company. This included a $10 donation to the Liberty Road Volunteer Fire
