COLUMBIA, Md.– Credit unions and business partners came together to help raise more than $25,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at the MD|DC Credit Union Association’s Annual Charity Golf Classic.
Some 120 golfers participated in the tournament at Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club in Columbia, Md.. As its charity of choice, the credit union industry has raised more than $150 million for CMN Hospitals overthe past 25 years.
“I want to thank our credit unions and business partners for their generous support, in particularevent sponsor CUNA Mutual Group and CO-OP Financial Services for its Miracle Match Program,” saidJohn Bratsakis, president/CEO of MD|DC Credit Union Association and Credit Unions for Kids Advisory board chair. “By supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the credit union industry is helping families afford access to the specialized care provided by children’s hospitals. It’s a great example of how the collaborative spirit of credit unions has a real impact on communities and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children facing serious health challenges.”
Money raised will fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care at two local CMN Hospitals - Children’s National in Washington, D.C. and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore.
