COLUMBIA, Md. – The MD|DC Credit Union Association (MD|DC CUA), a regional trade association representing 146 credit unions in Maryland and the District of Columbia, has named Leigh Philibosian as vice president of engagement. In her new role, she will be responsible for the development and enhancement of successful strategic partner relationships, Association education and training programs, as well as serving as the liaison to Association chapters and providing consultation to member credit unions.
Leigh has more than 25 years of experience in the credit union industry, including two decades with Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union. As senior vice president of marketing during the financial market crisis of 2008-2009, Leigh worked hard to maintain Mid-Atlantic Corporate’s integrity and its reputation as one of the country’s most highly-regarded corporate credit unions. In 2011, she joined Visions, Ink., where she managed client strategic sales and services, focusing on the credit union sector.

Leigh currently serves on the Credit Union Miracle Day, Inc. Marketing Committee. She has also served on the National Association of Federal Credit Unions Awards Committee and Pennsylvania Credit Union Association Marketing Advocacy Steering Committee, which developed the highly successful iBelong branding campaign.
Leigh has a BS in public relations from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications.
