SILVER SPRING, Md.–Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU) held the official grand opening of its newest branch here. MC EFCU, which primarily serves Montgomery County government employees, along with members from a variety of other local businesses, opened the doors to great fanfare during a well-attended grand opening.
The event included a visit from Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, county officials, local businesses, MC EFCU board member, and MC EFCU members.
“This has been a great day for MC EFCU,” said Jim Norris, CEO of MC EFCU. “We have been preparing for this day for many years. Today marks the culmination of lots of analysis, planning and finding the perfect location in the Silver Spring area.”
During his remarks at the grand opening event, Norris noted how welcoming the Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County has been during the branch selection and construction process.
“I’d like to thank everyone who was so instrumental in getting us to this point,” Norris said. “The Silver Spring area and the county, the support and direction of the MC EFCU board of directors, and of course, the MC EFCU management that made this all happen.”
