NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –The Langley for Families Foundation raised over $10,000 through its 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament. Sponsors, vendors, Langley staff and tournament participants supported the effort with registrations, donations and raffle sales. All monies raised will benefit the Foundation.
“This is such a fun event for all who participate—we look forward to this each year and hope to continue building on the success,” said Langley VP of Marketing Fred Hagerman. “We cannot thank the sponsors and donors enough for their support.”

Separately, the Langley for Families Foundation presented a $10,000 check to Transitions Family Violence Services. The donation was awarded during the agency's 40 Years of Service Celebration. The funds will be used to provide emergency shelter, services and programs for victims of domestic violence. Transitions works to increase awareness of domestic violence and to build safe and healthy families on the Virginia Peninsula.

"A majority of the funds donated will be put to great use to support the Next Step transitional housing program and other much needed program services to assist our clients."
