DULUTH, Ga. – The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and its Georgia Advocacy Policy Committee have named Rep. Joseph Gullett (R-19) as the 2022 State Lawmaker of the Year.
“It is an incredible honor to be named the 2022 State Lawmaker of the year by LSCU and the Georgia Credit Union Association,” said Gullett. “As a steadfast supporter of financial institutions and an employee of one locally, I am consistently in awe of the dedication of credit unions to advocating for their members. I look forward to working alongside LSCU as we continue to ensure financial services are available and accessible for all Georgians.”
Rep. Gullett serves as a member of the Insurance Committee and a member of the Subcommittee on Economic Development. In these roles, Rep. Gullett is able to make a tremendous impact for the constituents of Georgia, LSCU said.
“We appreciate having experienced, financial institution leaders like Representative Gullett in office and advocating for credit unions in Georgia,” said Patrick La Pine, CEO of LSCU & Affiliates. “Rep. Gullett is an important supporter of credit unions and plays an important role in carrying legislation allowing notaries to perform remote online notarization. This legislation will be a game changer for credit union members who will have additional access to resources electronically. This commitment to serving financial institutions is exactly why we have awarded Representative Gullett as the 2022 State Lawmaker of the Year in Georgia.”
