LGE Community CU Partners With Safey Village Foundation

ATLANTA– LGE Community Credit Union has partnered with the Cobb County Safety Village Foundation, which supports and promotes safety education for Cobb County citizens.

Through the long-term partnership, LGE said it becomes a major sponsor of the Cobb County Safety Village, a unique educational facility designed to teach Cobb County residents critical safety skills in a fun and interactive environment.

"At LGE we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve," said Chris Leggett, president and CEO. "We believe that safety education is essential for everyone, and we are proud to partner with the Cobb County Safety Village to help keep Cobb County residents safe.”

The Safety Village features reduced-scale buildings, streets, and traffic signals that replicate a real town representing the Cobb County community, at which children and families can learn about fire safety, pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and more through role-playing scenarios and hands-on exercises.

LGE will add its own building to the Safety Village’s bustling eight-acre property in late 2024. LGE leadership and members of the Safety Village Foundation board of directors kicked off the new partnership by hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at the future site of the new LGE building last month.
