LCUL's Gallman Named New Orleans CityBusiness Money Maker

Bob Gallman

NEW ORLEANS – Bob Gallman, President and CEO of gthe Louisiana Credit Union League, has been named to the 2019 class of New Orleans CityBusiness Money Makers.

Each year, New Orleans CityBusiness selects individuals to be recognized for achievements in their respective industries as well as their community impact.

Honorees’ accomplishments have not only set the pace for their organization, but the region as a whole.

“We are excited to see Bob recognized as a Money Makers honoree this year,” said Sidney Parfait, LCUL Board Chairman. “Bob is an incredible asset to the credit union community in Louisiana and we are fortunate to have him leading the state trade association, ensuring the movement continues to thrive throughout the state.”

"Gallman, an innovative leader with a significant amount of experience in financial institutions, works to ensure the success of the nearly 170 credit unions across Louisiana. A key example of his forward thinking is demonstrated through his development of a financial counseling program for credit unions. Following the suspension of a program originally run by the National Credit Union Foundation, Gallman and his team developed a program to continue to certify staff members. In Louisiana, there are now more than 400 certified credit union financial counselors helping members get their finances on track. The program was so impactful, other state associations purchased the program from Louisiana to continue certifying financial counselors nationwide," the league said.
