LONG BEACH, Calif.–LBS Financial Credit Union will be hosting a grand opening of its newest branch at the California State University Long Beach 49er Campus Bookstore on May 1.
The new branch opened its doors on April 2nd to Long Beach State students, faculty/employees and those in the greater Long Beach community that may be visiting on campus. On May 1st the Credit Union will officially invite those on campus, members, and the community to visit the new branch for their grand opening. The branch is a little over 300 square feet and within the bookstore, so space is limited, the credit union said.
The VP/Branch Manager is Cindy Thomas, who also manages the credit union’s East Long Beach branch at 10thand Ximeno in Long Beach and has been with the Credit Union for over 10 years. Services at the new branch include loans, new account opening, and deposits. The branch is cashless and includes an ATM where members can make deposits and receive cash back. The branch is open 9 am-5 pm from Monday through Friday during the main school year (closed during summer session), although these hours do adjust when the bookstore closes early or opens later.
“LBS Financial Credit Union has deep roots in the Long Beach area, “ said President and CEO Jeffrey Napper. “With over 82 years in the community, Long Beach State employees, students, and alumni are part of our original field of membership and we are excited to continue to deepen this relationship with our new on-campus branch.”
