LANSING, Mich.—LAFCU will host its fourth annual Heritage Fest Sept. 25, offering the Greater Lansing community a free celebration of the cultures and traditions represented across the region.
The family-friendly event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at LAFCU’s West Lansing branch, 106 N. Marketplace Blvd. Activities will include cultural performances, live music, ethnic food, giveaways, a bounce house and other attractions for all ages.
“Strong communities are built when people feel welcomed, valued and connected to one another,” said Kelli Ellsworth Etchison, LAFCU chief marketing officer and chief diversity officer. “LAFCU Heritage Fest creates a place where we can learn from our neighbors, celebrate what makes each of us unique and strengthen the sense of belonging that helps a community thrive.”
Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to wear traditional attire representing their heritage. Last year’s festival, the first opened to the public, drew hundreds of people to LAFCU’s headquarters.
