LAFCU Supports Mayor's Fund

GLENDALE, Calif.–Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) recently donated $10,000 to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles. The Fund is a 501(c)3 charity established to quickly take in and disburse funds to entities uniquely aligned with LA City.  LAFCU’s donation will go directly to the City of L.A.’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

Mayor Garcetti identified the following key priority areas of need: support for families and small businesses, relief for healthcare workers, critical healthcare equipment, and services for the un-housed.

The Crisis Fund will also provide home-delivered meals for isolated seniors, childcare support and other resources for families, workers, and small businesses whose lives have been disrupted by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. It will also provide increased access to testing kits, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other vital supplies to help ensure the health and safety of LA-areas citizens and those protecting them. The Crisis Fund will also support services for un-housed Angelenos, such as emergency shelters, hygiene stations, and other needed solutions to meet the needs of the city’s homeless population.
