LAFCU, Radio Station Raise Funds for Food Bank

LANSING, Mich. — LAFCU’s partnership with WKAR Radio during its Spring Fundraiser resulted in the credit union donating $2,712.50 – the equivalent of 8,137 meals – to Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB).

For each donation to WKAR Radio’s fundraising annual campaign, LAFCU pledged an incentive of $3.50 to GLFB. A $1 gift to GLFB supports three meals to individuals and families in need in Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Shiawassee, Clare, Isabella and Gratiot counties.

“LAFCU’s donation to Greater Lansing Food Bank is a reflection of those in our community who support and understand the value of public radio in the Greater Lansing area,” said Patrick Spyke, LAFCU CEO. “We’re honored to help two important community organizations, which is in alignment with the credit union mission of ‘People Helping People.’”
