LAFCU Names Williams Enterprise Liaison

LANSING, Mich. — LAFCU has created the position of enterprise liaison.

Jamell Williams has been tapped for this new position and will develop, implement and manage various corporate initiatives that strengthen LAFCU, achieve superior member service and serve to live LAFCU’s philosophy, Your Credit Union for Life. The position is in the professional services division, with dual reporting to the department’s director, Ryan Larson, and LAFCU CEO Pat Spyke. Spyke said, “This new position will allow LAFCU to respond with agility to organizational change in support of member-focused solutions. Jamell brings an extensive understanding of LAFCU and how it operates. He also has proven interpersonal and leadership skills, all of which will serve him and LAFCU well.”

Williams, of East Lansing, has nearly 17 years of experience in the financial industry, including six years with LAFCU. He has worked in member service at the LAFCU West Lansing Branch, most recently serving as manager. He recently received a leadership award from the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates in recognition of his commitment to self-improvement.

“I’m honored for this unique opportunity to help LAFCU become stronger,” Williams said. “It will be important to build relationships with colleagues, within LAFCU and externally, which is really a continuation and expansion of what I have done as branch manager, and something I truly enjoy.”
