“This event is about more than school supplies — it’s about helping students walk into the classroom feeling confident, prepared and supported,” said Shelia Scott, LAFCU’s community financial education and business development officer. “When a community comes together to invest in its children, it creates opportunities for success that extend far beyond the school year.”

LAFCU is partnering with Two Men and a Truck and The Village Lansing to collect and distribute the donations. Requested items include backpacks, notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, folders, crayons, glue sticks and other classroom supplies, along with travel-size toiletries, deodorant, sanitary pads, disinfecting wipes and tissues.
