Ky. Governor Visits With Commonwealth CU

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.–Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear visited the Commonwealth Credit Union suite during the the Barbasol PGA Championship at Keene Trace here.

Karen Harbin, Commonwealth Credit Union’s president and CEO, Debbie Painter, the president of the Kentucky Credit Union League, and others had the opportunity to enjoy some sunshine, golf, and comradery, the credit union said.

“Relationships are key to moving our initiatives forward. At Commonwealth Credit Union, we work hard to keep credit unions in the forefront, ensuring the credit union movement is strong for generations to come,” said Harbin.

The Barbasol Championship is one of only 52 PGA events, and it is a strong economic stimulus for Kentucky. Commonwealth Credit Union said it was proud to be a sponsor, supporting the Barbasol volunteers who work tirelessly to bring the event to life. Additionally, Barbasol has a philanthropic arm, Caddie 127, that aligns well with the credit union philosophy of people helping people. Caddie 127 believes that no one should walk alone, and its mission is to empower organizations that support women and children, the CU said.
